As the head of Care Model Innovation, Dr. Levine helps CPF founders and partners develop innovative approaches to care delivery that improve quality, drive efficiencies and support better patient outcomes.
Prior to CPF, Dr. Levine was a Co-founder and the Chief Medical and Innovation Officer for Agilon Health, a physician group and IPA platform that integrates and coordinates care in multiple geographies powered by advanced technology. He served as the Chief Innovation and Clinical Care Officer at Blue Shield of California and was responsible for the statewide ACO initiative, a clinical optimization across all partner provider groups/systems and business lines, strategic planning, medical management infrastructure development, government programs and clinical innovations.

At Heritage Medical Systems, where he was Executive Vice President and Executive Medical Director for Clinical Integration and Transformation Officer, he was responsible for clinical optimization and innovation. While there he also developed a joint venture between Trinity Health and Heritage Provider Group to form one of the nation’s largest integrated delivery systems.
Prior to Heritage, Dr. Levine had numerous leadership roles at several leading care model innovation companies, including R1 RCM and HealthCare Partners Medical Group of California, prior to and through the transition to DaVita. At HealthCare Partners, he was Corporate Medical Director and Regional Medical Director over strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and clinical operations and innovations. He served as Medical Director for SCAN HMO, a social HMO where he oversaw all clinical operations and network and medical group collaboration and innovations, and as the CEO of PsychCare Alliance and Topaz Health. He holds a B.S. from Stony Brook University and an M.H.A. from The George Washington University, and holds an M.D. from University of Illinois College of Medicine.
